Thank You

We had a goal to have a thank you party in January to celebrate the end of this chapter and thank the amazing friends (local) that helped us build our house.  With work, end of pregnancy, etc, it just hasn't happened.  So, I'm going to resolve to do this blog post and send a thank you that way.  We're also having a pizza get together last minute on friday for anyone who is able to come and may have a running slideshow up of pictures and videos of the work parties.  I kept track of the various people that helped us out.  Thank you:

Mark and Dee - 2 week stay at your house

Mom and Dad- 1 week stay at your house

Mom, Dad, Spencer, Kara - painting and taking the chimney down weekend

Peter, Halyna, Daren and Kerry - laundry machine use

Peter and Halyna - random showers and oven use
Alison - a quiet friday space for Taio to nap

Chad - vision, artistry, careful work, drawings... the list goes on

Daren - hours of generous labour

Hayna - taping and painting... and painting... and painting...
Jeff and Peter - Insulation day (Jeff got electrocuted)
Mark, Peter, Halyna - late night siding party (Halyna painted :)
Peter, Halyna, Stacie, Matt, Hayley, Luke - Painting and siding party

Matt and Dave - our AMAZING sidewalk

Mo, Maggie-  cooks during the thanksgiving work party

Nona, JP, Maria and Philippe - thanksgiving work party
Walter - front yard tree and drafting table
Brad - DUMP RUN!!  THANK YOU!!
Tessa - door handle installation
Walter and Michelle - bed storage (and delivery)
Yannick, Danielle, Philippe - electrical work

I also kept track of various homes that inspired our choices:
Maria, Philippe, Mom, Dad - interior wood windows
Random house in Edmonton Westmount area - front deck railing and exterior colour scheme
Mom and Dad - mudroom
Cathie - front entry/deck
Mark, Dee, Emma and Ian - interior gear room

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.  Loic and I are happy to return the favour someday -we're getting better at this building stuff... that's not to say we want to continue practicing this on a regular basis.
