Tess and I bombed down to Invermere for a pot pouri weekend with Tessa! We arrived late Friday night with the sun having just barely gone down at 11 pm. The next morning we had an awesome waffle breaky and then went out to work in the Invermere Community Garden. It is set next to the lake at the main beach and unfortunately gets frequented by a lot of deer. We spent a couple of hours working on their new fence. It was pure sun and near 30 C so the logical next step was to jump in the lake for a swim! Tess and I slapped on the wetsuits and went for some laps of the outer buoys (saw a couple of trout!) and then joined the others on the warf and swam back to shore. The water was so warm and clear! Just to add more to our Saturday, Tess x 2, Stephen and I drove out passed Lake Louise and began hiking up to Lake O'Hara. Good thing for the company as the 12 km of road wasn't exactly supreme hiking! The views were however beautiful and we did she a porcupine so it was certainly eventful. The 16 beer on ice (in a dry bag) being hauled up by Stephen definitely didn't hurt. We jumped in the cold lake upon arrival (9 pm) and then began to make pizzas (homemade dough and all) in the wardens cabin. Delicious!! We stayed up late doing flaming drambuie's, drinking beer, and playing cards.
