Kootenays - love it

Oh man.  I don't even know where to start about our latest camping trip.  5 days of goodness, just the 4 of us for a change.  To note:  1 day canoe trip from New Denver; Loic catching a fish while fly fishing as Taio and I canoed nearby; hike with a cable car ride ("special car" as Taio says); beaches and swimming and playing in the water; sweaty runs; picking berries; teaching Taio about the woods (bear cache, pulling bark); sleeping in the tent together; chatting (mostly about what Taio's life as a farmer/cowboy will be like when he gets older); good food in Nelson; we even stayed in a hotel one night.  We just wished we had our bikes!  But that said, it was great to just commit to spending all of our time together as a family for a change.  The pictures say it all.
