We quickly rushed out of Whistler to drive into Vancouver to catch the semi final hockey game with Evan, Meg, Darryl and their friends. It was a blast followed by a full night on the town, wandering the busy streets of downtown Van! It was just as expected and the light rain wasn't dampening any spirits!
Saturday was a see the sites day with Evan, Tess and I making our way to the major sites such as the cauldron, the Sochi House and Granville Island. The energy everywhere was fantastic and our feet hurt by the time we arrived back and Meg and Darryl's.
Sunday we were in the bar by 9!! Yes 9, in order to have a table for the gold medal game! Some places already had line ups at that time but we managed to get a table to watch the exciting game. It was something to remember for sure! Our highlight of Vancouver has to be the multicultural aspect with Canadians (many immigrants) wearing red and white (mainly hockey jerseys) cheering loud and giving endless high fives down the streets!
Thanks again to Meg and Darryl for the hospitality and to Evan for all the laughs (and a special shout out to Teen Wolf!... ok and Jesus too!!)
