Wow.....we love the Kootenays. Plain and simple. Tess and I met up with a large group of paddlers from BC and AB to do some creeeking. We brought our mt bikes and climbing gear to round out the options. With such a large group it took a while to get going but we had some awesome adventures. An epic day on the Pingston ended with a broken boat, grizzly siting and epic hike out by members of the group. My day was fairly uneventful though the paddling was amazing. During the rest of the long weekend we fit in some great riding near Nakusp and New Denver and I also ran a great 20 ft waterfall. The weather was scorching hot in the mid 30's so swimming everyday was a treat. Tess' mountain biking has made leaps and bounds and we had an inspiring weekend just making us wish we had the whole summer off like some of the teachers that we were with!! Oh well, back to work and planning our next adventure!Make sure to check out all the recent pics.
