Arrow Lake Sept 15/16

We had originally been planning to head to Murtle Lake for a quick 3 day canoe trip, but due to time, work, and distance we opted out and headed to Arrow Lake near Revelstoke for a quick one nighter. We borrowed some canoes (and a sea kayak for Jim), and then just head south down the lake. It was unbelievable weather for mid september, with glassy water and warm sun. We took it easy, lazed in the sun, and swam. It was a great time. We did some fun cliff jumping and Jim had brought his fly rod which was great to get back into. Jim caught a couple nice ones and I caught one of the bigger rainbows I've caught (~2 lbs). When we woke up the next morning there we otters climbing onto our beach! The pics aren't very good but they are so cute! We managed to get off the water half an hour before the wind came up and it began raining. We stopped at sutherland falls on blanket creek to view the 12m high falls in a kayak vid made by some locals. It's totally clean but still high!! There were tonnes of bright red spawning kokanee salmon in the creek which was awesome.
