Twin Lakes

Tess and I have managed to corner two of the friendliest outdoorsy people ever found, and convinced them to show us around our new frontier. The latest installment from our guides Mark and D was a backpacking trip into twin lakes. It began with a loaded matrix with four adults, a big golden retriever Peko (?) and a rough logging road. The car was unreal and we made our way into twin lakes for a beautiful alpine setting to set up camp. Saturday was an amazing ridge walk that we connected into a full loop, including amazing glissading, creek crossing and boulderfield navigation. Good times by all, minus the annoying hordes of black flies.

A couple sun burnt faces, some colds swims in the lake and one case of heat stroke found us hiking out saturday night after dinner. What a great way to spend a weekend.
